إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ يَشْتَرُونَ بِعَهْدِ ٱللَّهِ وَأَيْمَـٰنِهِمْ ثَمَنًا قَلِيلًا أُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَ لَا خَلَـٰقَ لَهُمْ فِى ٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِ وَلَا يُكَلِّمُهُمُ ٱللَّهُ وَلَا يَنظُرُ إِلَيْهِمْ يَوْمَ ٱلْقِيَـٰمَةِ وَلَا يُزَكِّيهِمْ وَلَهُمْ عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌ
“(As for) those who take a small price for the covenant of Allah and their own oaths-- surely they shall have no portion in the hereafter, and Allah will not speak to them, nor will He look upon them on the day of resurrection nor will He purify them, and they shall have a painful chastisement.”

آنان که عهد خدا و سوگند خدا را به بهایی اندک بفروشند اینان را در آخرت بهرهای نیست و خدا با آنها (از خشم) سخن نگوید و در قیامت (به نظر رحمت) بدانها ننگرد و (از پلیدی گناه) پاکیزهشان نگرداند، و آنان را عذابی دردناک خواهد بود.

جو لوگ اللہ سے کئے گئے عہد اور قسم کو تھوڑی قیمت پر بیچ ڈالتے ہیں ان کے لئے آخرت میں کوئی حصّہ نہیں ہے اور نہ خدا ان سے بات کرے گا اور نہ روزِ قیامت ان کی طرف نظر کرے گا اور نہ انہیں گناہوں کی آلودگی سے پاک بنائے گا اور ان کے لئے دردناک عذاب ہے
