وَإِنَّ مِنْهُمْ لَفَرِيقًا يَلْوُۥنَ أَلْسِنَتَهُم بِٱلْكِتَـٰبِ لِتَحْسَبُوهُ مِنَ ٱلْكِتَـٰبِ وَمَا هُوَ مِنَ ٱلْكِتَـٰبِ وَيَقُولُونَ هُوَ مِنْ عِندِ ٱللَّهِ وَمَا هُوَ مِنْ عِندِ ٱللَّهِ وَيَقُولُونَ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ ٱلْكَذِبَ وَهُمْ يَعْلَمُونَ
“Most surely there is a party amongst those who distort the Book with their tongue that you may consider it to be (a part) of the Book, and they say, It is from Allah, while it is not from Allah, and they tell a lie against Allah whilst they know.”

ان ہی یہودیوں میں سے بعض وہ ہیں جو کتاب پڑھنے میں زبان کو توڑ موڑ دیتے ہیں تاکہ تم لوگ اس تحریف کو بھی اصل کتاب سمجھنے لگو حالانکہ وہ اصل کتاب نہیں ہے اور یہ لوگ کہتے ہیں کہ یہ سب اللہ کی طرف سے ہے حالانکہ اللہ کی طرف سے ہرگز نہیں ہے یہ خدا کے خلاف جھوٹ بولتے ہیں حالانکہ سب جانتے ہیں

و همانا برخی از اهل کتاب، قرائت کتاب آسمانی را تغییر و تبدیل میدهند تا شما آنچه آنها از پیش خود خواندهاند از کتاب خدا محسوب دارید، و هرگز آن تحریف شده از کتاب خدا نخواهد بود، و گویند: این از جانب خدا نازل شده، در صورتی که هرگز از خدا نیست. و با آنکه میدانند به خدا دروغ میبندند.

A group among the People of the Book when reading the Bible, deliberately mispronounce words in order to change their meaning, try to show that what they have read is from the true Bible. In fact, what they have read is not from the true Bible. They say, "What we read is from God." In reality, it is not from God. They knowingly ascribe false statements to God.
