Tafsir
And establish prayer and give zakah and bow with those who bow. The three commands — prayer, zakah, and bowing (ruku) — form a complete picture of the worshippers relationship with Allah and with fellow human beings. Prayer is the direct vertical relationship with the Divine; zakah is the expression of that relationship in horizontal generosity toward others. notes thatbow with those who bow' was understood by the Ahlul Bayt to refer specifically to following the Prophet in prayer, which has the significance of accepting not just the form of worship but its divinely appointed leadership. True ibadah has both a personal and a communal dimension that cannot be separated.
