“How do you deny Allah and you were dead and He gave you life? Again He will cause you to die and again bring you to life; then you shall be brought back to Him.”
Al-Baqarah 2:28

How dare you deny the existence of God Who gave you life when you initially had no life. He will cause you to die and bring you to life again. Then you will return to His Presence.

Tafsir
How can you disbelieve in Allah when you were lifeless and He brought you to life; then He will cause you to die, then He will bring you back to life, then to Him you will be returned? This verse presents the arc of human existence as a complete proof of divine lordship. We entered this world from nonexistence; we were given life we did not earn; we will return to death and then be raised again. At every point, the human being is entirely dependent on Allah. notes that this sequence — nonexistence, life, death, resurrection — renders disbelief not merely false but incomprehensible. To deny the One who gave you existence is the deepest form of ingratitude.
