“Who made the earth a resting place for you and the heaven a canopy and (Who) sends down rain from the cloud, then brings forth with it subsistence for you of the fruits; therefore do not set up rivals to Allah while you know.”

Worship God who has rendered the earth as a floor for you and the sky as a dome for you and has sent water down from the sky to produce fruits for your sustenance. Do not knowingly set up anything as an equal to God.

Tafsir
This verse points to the two great gifts of the natural world: the earth as a stable floor and the sky as a canopy — the conditions that make human life possible. These blessings were not accidental; they were arranged by the One who knows human need perfectly. draws attention to the list of provisions that follows — rain, fruits, sustenance — and notes that the Qurans purpose here is not merely to list facts about nature but to awaken gratitude. Every blade of grass, every drop of rain, every breath of air is a sign (ayah) pointing back to its Giver. The person who sees the world this way lives in a continuous state of remembrance (dhikr).
