۞ وَٱتْلُ عَلَيْهِمْ نَبَأَ ٱبْنَىْ ءَادَمَ بِٱلْحَقِّ إِذْ قَرَّبَا قُرْبَانًا فَتُقُبِّلَ مِنْ أَحَدِهِمَا وَلَمْ يُتَقَبَّلْ مِنَ ٱلْـَٔاخَرِ قَالَ لَأَقْتُلَنَّكَ ۖ قَالَ إِنَّمَا يَتَقَبَّلُ ٱللَّهُ مِنَ ٱلْمُتَّقِينَ
“And relate to them the story of the two sons of Adam with truth when they both offered an offering, but it was accepted from one of them and was not accepted from the other. He said: I will most certainly slay you. (The other) said: Allah only accepts from those who guard (against evil).”

و بخوان بر آنها به حقیقت حکایت دو پسر آدم (قابیل و هابیل) را، که چون تقرب به قربانی جستند از یکی پذیرفته شد و از دیگری پذیرفته نشد. (قابیل به برادرش هابیل) گفت: البته تو را خواهم کشت. (هابیل) گفت: بیتردید خدا (قربانی را) از متقیان خواهد پذیرفت.

(Muhammad) tell them the true story of the two sons of Adam (Abel and Cain). Each one of them offered a sacrifice. God accepted the sacrifice of one of them (Abel) but not that of the other (Cain) who then said to his brother, "I shall certainly kill you." (Abel) replied, "God only accepts the offerings of the pious ones.

اور پیغمبر علیھ السّلامآپ ان کو آدم علیھ السّلامکے دونوں فرزندوں کا سچا ّقصّہ پڑھ کر سنائیے کہ جب دونوں نے قربانی دی اور ایک کی قربانی قبول ہوگئی اور دوسرے کی نہ ہوئی تو اس نے کہا کہ میں تجھے قتل کردوں گا تو دوسرے نے جواب دیا کہ میرا کیا قصور ہے خدا صرف صاحبان ه تقوٰی کے اعمال کو قبول کرتا ہے
