Help yourselves (in your affairs) with patience and prayer. It is a difficult task indeed, but not for the humble ones

Tafsir
And seek help through patience and prayer; indeed, it is difficult except for the humbly submissive. Patience (sabr) and prayer (salah) are the Qurans two supreme instruments for navigating the difficulties of existence. explains that sabr is not passive resignation but an active, sustained orientation of the self toward Allah in the face of hardship — the refusal to let difficulty sever one from ones Lord. Prayer is the practical expression of that orientation: the regular return to Allahs presence that renews the souls strength. The verse acknowledges honestly that this is difficult —except for the humbly submissive (khashi'in)': those who have genuinely internalized their dependence on Allah.
