وَإِذْ قَالَ إِبْرَٰهِـۧمُ رَبِّ ٱجْعَلْ هَـٰذَا بَلَدًا ءَامِنًا وَٱرْزُقْ أَهْلَهُۥ مِنَ ٱلثَّمَرَٰتِ مَنْ ءَامَنَ مِنْهُم بِٱللَّهِ وَٱلْيَوْمِ ٱلْـَٔاخِرِ ۖ قَالَ وَمَن كَفَرَ فَأُمَتِّعُهُۥ قَلِيلًا ثُمَّ أَضْطَرُّهُۥٓ إِلَىٰ عَذَابِ ٱلنَّارِ ۖ وَبِئْسَ ٱلْمَصِيرُ
“And when Ibrahim said: My Lord, make it a secure town and provide its people with fruits, such of them as believe in Allah and the last day. He said: And whoever disbelieves, I will grant him enjoyment for a short while, then I will drive him to the chastisement of the fire; and it is an evil destination.”
Al-Baqarah 2:126

اور اس وقت کویاد کرو جب ابراہیم علیھ السّلام نے دعا کی کہ پروردگار اس شہر کو امن کاشہر قرار دے دے اور اس کے ان اہلِ شہر کو جو اللہ اور آخرت پر ایمان رکھتے ہوں پھلوں کا رزق عطا فرما. ارشاد ہوا کہ پھر جو کافر ہوجائیں گے انہیں دنیا میں تھوڑی نعمتیں دے کر آخرت میں عذابِ جہّنم میں زبردستی ڈھکیل دیا جائے گا جو بدترین انجام ہے

و (به یاد آر) هنگامی که ابراهیم عرض کرد: پروردگارا، این شهر را محل امن و آسایش قرار ده و اهلش را که ایمان به خدا و روز قیامت آوردهاند از انواع روزیها بهرهمند ساز، خدا فرمود: و هر که (با وجود این نعمت) سپاس نگزارد و راه کفر پیماید گر چه در دنیا او را اندکی بهرهمند کنم، لیکن در آخرت ناچار معذب به آتش دوزخ گردانم که بد منزلگاهی است.

When Abraham prayed to the Lord saying, "Lord, make this town a place of security and provide those in the town who believe in God and the Day of Judgement, with plenty," God replied, "I shall allow those who hide the truth to enjoy themselves for a while. Then I shall drive them into the torment of hell fire, a terrible destination!"
