قُلْ يَـٰٓأَهْلَ ٱلْكِتَـٰبِ لَسْتُمْ عَلَىٰ شَىْءٍ حَتَّىٰ تُقِيمُوا۟ ٱلتَّوْرَىٰةَ وَٱلْإِنجِيلَ وَمَآ أُنزِلَ إِلَيْكُم مِّن رَّبِّكُمْ ۗ وَلَيَزِيدَنَّ كَثِيرًا مِّنْهُم مَّآ أُنزِلَ إِلَيْكَ مِن رَّبِّكَ طُغْيَـٰنًا وَكُفْرًا ۖ فَلَا تَأْسَ عَلَى ٱلْقَوْمِ ٱلْكَـٰفِرِينَ
“Say: O followers of the Book! you follow no good till you keep up the Taurat and the Injeel and that which is revealed to you from your Lord; and surely that which has been revealed to you from your Lord shall make many of them increase in inordinacy and unbelief; grieve not therefore for the unbelieving people.”
Al-Ma'idah 5:68

(ای پیغمبر) بگو: ای اهل کتاب، شما ارزشی ندارید تا آنکه به دستور تورات و انجیل و قرآنی که به شما از جانب خدا فرستاده شده قیام کنید. و همانا قرآنی که به تو از سوی پروردگارت نازل شد (به جای آنکه به آن ایمان آرند) بر کفر و سرکشی بسیاری از آنان خواهد افزود، در این صورت (تو ای پیغمبر) بر حال کافران نباید تأسف خوری.

(Muhammad), tell the People of the Book, "You have nothing unless you follow the Old and New Testaments and that which (the Quran) God has revealed to you." Whatever has been revealed to you (Muhammad) from your Lord will only increase their disbelief and rebellion (against you). Do not grieve for the unbelieving people.

کہہ دیجئے کہ اے اہل کتاب تمہارا کوئی مذہب نہیں ہے جب تک توریت و انجیل اور جو کچھ پروردگار کی طرف سے نازل ہوا ہے اسے قائم نہ کرو اور جو کچھ آپ کے پاس پروردگار کی طرف سے نازل ہوا ہے وہ ان کی کثیر تعداد کی سرکشی اور کفر میں اضافہ کردے گا تو آپ کافروں کے حال پر رنجیدہ نہ ہوں
