وَأَنزَلْنَآ إِلَيْكَ ٱلْكِتَـٰبَ بِٱلْحَقِّ مُصَدِّقًا لِّمَا بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ مِنَ ٱلْكِتَـٰبِ وَمُهَيْمِنًا عَلَيْهِ ۖ فَٱحْكُم بَيْنَهُم بِمَآ أَنزَلَ ٱللَّهُ ۖ وَلَا تَتَّبِعْ أَهْوَآءَهُمْ عَمَّا جَآءَكَ مِنَ ٱلْحَقِّ ۚ لِكُلٍّ جَعَلْنَا مِنكُمْ شِرْعَةً وَمِنْهَاجًا ۚ وَلَوْ شَآءَ ٱللَّهُ لَجَعَلَكُمْ أُمَّةً وَٰحِدَةً وَلَـٰكِن لِّيَبْلُوَكُمْ فِى مَآ ءَاتَىٰكُمْ ۖ فَٱسْتَبِقُوا۟ ٱلْخَيْرَٰتِ ۚ إِلَى ٱللَّهِ مَرْجِعُكُمْ جَمِيعًا فَيُنَبِّئُكُم بِمَا كُنتُمْ فِيهِ تَخْتَلِفُونَ
“And We have revealed to you the Book with the truth, verifying what is before it of the Book and a guardian over it, therefore judge between them by what Allah has revealed, and do not follow their low desires (to turn away) from the truth that has come to you; for every one of you did We appoint a law and a way, and if Allah had pleased He would have made you (all) a single people, but that He might try you in what He gave you, therefore strive with one another to hasten to virtuous deeds; to Allah is your return, of all (of you), so He will let you know that in which you differed;”

و ما این (قرآن عظیم) را به حق بر تو فرستادیم که تصدیق به درستی و راستی همه کتب که در برابر اوست نموده و بر حقیقت کتب آسمانی پیشین گواهی میدهد. پس حکم کن میان آنها به آنچه خدا فرستاد و در اثر پیروی از خواهشهای ایشان حکم حقی که بر تو آمده وامگذار، ما برای هر قومی از شما شریعت و طریقهای مقرّر داشتیم، و اگر خدا میخواست همه شما را یک امت میگردانید، و لیکن (این نکرد) تا شما را به احکامی که در کتاب خود به شما فرستاد بیازماید. پس به کارهای نیک سبقت گیرید، که بازگشت همه شما به سوی خداست و در آنچه اختلاف مینمایید شما را به (حقیقت) آن آگاه خواهد ساخت.

We have revealed the Book to you (Muhammad) in all Truth. It confirms the (original) Bible and has the authority to preserve or abrogate what the Bible contains. Judge among them by what God has revealed to you and do not follow their desires instead of the Truth which has come to you. We have given a law and a way of life to each of you. Had God wanted, He could have made you into one nation, but He wanted to see who are the more pious ones among you. Compete with each other in righteousness. All of you will return to God who will tell you the truth in the matter of your differences.

اور اے پیغمبر ہم نے آپ کی طرف کتاب نازل کی ہے جو اپنے پہلے کی توریت اور انجیل کی لَصدق اور محافظ ہے لہذا آپ ان کے درمیان تنزیل خدا کے مطابق فیصلہ کریں اور خدا کی طرف سے آئے ہوئے حق سے الگ ہوکر ان کی خواہشات کا اتباع نہ کریں .ہم نے سب کے لئے الگ الگ شریعت اور راستہ مقرر کردیا ہے اور خدا چاہتا تو سب کو ایک ہی امت بنا دیتا لیکن وہ اپنے دئیے ہوئے قانون سے تمہاری آزمائش کرنا چاہتا ہے لہذا تم سب نیکیوں کی طرف سبقت کرو کہ تم سب کی بازگشت اللہ ہی کی طرف ہے -وہاں وہ تمہیں ان تمام باتوں سے باخبر کرے گا جن میں تم اختلاف کررہے تھے
