۞ وَلَقَدْ أَخَذَ ٱللَّهُ مِيثَـٰقَ بَنِىٓ إِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ وَبَعَثْنَا مِنْهُمُ ٱثْنَىْ عَشَرَ نَقِيبًا ۖ وَقَالَ ٱللَّهُ إِنِّى مَعَكُمْ ۖ لَئِنْ أَقَمْتُمُ ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ وَءَاتَيْتُمُ ٱلزَّكَوٰةَ وَءَامَنتُم بِرُسُلِى وَعَزَّرْتُمُوهُمْ وَأَقْرَضْتُمُ ٱللَّهَ قَرْضًا حَسَنًا لَّأُكَفِّرَنَّ عَنكُمْ سَيِّـَٔاتِكُمْ وَلَأُدْخِلَنَّكُمْ جَنَّـٰتٍ تَجْرِى مِن تَحْتِهَا ٱلْأَنْهَـٰرُ ۚ فَمَن كَفَرَ بَعْدَ ذَٰلِكَ مِنكُمْ فَقَدْ ضَلَّ سَوَآءَ ٱلسَّبِيلِ
“And certainly Allah made a covenant with the children of Israel, and We raised up among them twelve chieftains; and Allah said: Surely I am with you; if you keep up prayer and pay the poor-rate and believe in My apostles and assist them and offer to Allah a goodly gift, I will most certainly cover your evil deeds, and I will most certainly cause you to enter into gardens beneath which rivers flow, but whoever disbelieves from among you after that, he indeed shall lose the right way.”

و همانا خدا از بنی اسرائیل عهد گرفت و از میان آنها دوازده نفر بزرگ برانگیختیم (که پیشوای هر سبطی باشند) و خدا بنی اسرائیل را گفت که من با شمایم هر گاه نماز به پا دارید و زکات بدهید و به فرستادگان من ایمان آورید و آنها را اعزاز و یاری کنید و خدا را قرض نیکو دهید، در این صورت گناهان شما بیامرزم و شما را در بهشتی داخل گردانم که زیر درختانش نهرها جاری است. پس هر کس از شما پس از عهد خدا کافر شد سخت از راه راست دور افتاده است.

God certainly made a solemn covenant with the children of Israel and raised among them twelve elders. God said to them, "I am with you if you will be steadfast in your prayers, pay (zakat) religious tax, believe in My Messengers, support them with reverence, and give a generous loan for the cause of God." We shall expiate your bad deeds and admit you to the gardens wherein streams flow. Whichever of you turns to disbelief after this has certainly gone astray (from the right path)."

اور بے شک اللہ نے بنی اسرائیل سے عہد لیا اور ہم نے ان میں سے بارہ نقیب بھیجے اور خدا نے یہ بھی کہہ دیاکہ ہم تمہارے ساتھ ہیں اگر تم نے نماز قائم کی اور زکوِٰ ادا کی اور ہمارے رسولوں پر ایمان لے آئے اور ان کی مدد کی اور خدا کی راہ میں قرض حسنہ دیاتو ہم یقینا تمہاری برائیوں سے درگزر کریں گے اور تمہیں ان باغات میں داخل کریں گے جن کے نیچے نہریں جاری ہوں گی -پھر جو اس کے بعد کفر کرے گا تو وہ بہت اِرے راستہ کی طرف بہک گیا ہے
