وَإِذَا قِيلَ لَهُمْ تَعَالَوْا۟ إِلَىٰ مَآ أَنزَلَ ٱللَّهُ وَإِلَى ٱلرَّسُولِ قَالُوا۟ حَسْبُنَا مَا وَجَدْنَا عَلَيْهِ ءَابَآءَنَآ ۚ أَوَلَوْ كَانَ ءَابَآؤُهُمْ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ شَيْـًٔا وَلَا يَهْتَدُونَ
“And when it is said to them, Come to what Allah has revealed and to the Apostle, they say: That on which we found our fathers is sufficient for us. What! even though their fathers knew nothing and did not follow the right way.”
Al-Ma'idah 5:104

و چون به آنها گفته شود: بیایید از حکم کتابی که خدا فرستاده و از دستور رسول او پیروی کنید، گویند: آن دینی که پدران خود را بر آن یافتیم ما را کفایت است. آیا باید از پدران خود هر چند مردمی جاهل بوده و به حق راه نیافته باشند باز پیروی کنند؟

اور جب ان سے کہا جاتا ہے کہ خد اکے نازل کئے ہوئے احکام اور اس کے رسول کی طرف آؤ تو کہتے ہیں کہ ہمارے لئے وہی کافی ہے جس پر ہم نے اپنے آباؤ و اجداد کو پایا ہے چاہے ان کے آباؤ و اجداد نہ کچھ سمجھتے ہوں اور نہ کسی طرح کی ہدایت کرتے ہوں
