وَإِذَا قِيلَ لَهُمُ ٱتَّبِعُوا۟ مَآ أَنزَلَ ٱللَّهُ قَالُوا۟ بَلْ نَتَّبِعُ مَآ أَلْفَيْنَا عَلَيْهِ ءَابَآءَنَآ ۗ أَوَلَوْ كَانَ ءَابَآؤُهُمْ لَا يَعْقِلُونَ شَيْـًٔا وَلَا يَهْتَدُونَ
“And when it is said to them, Follow what Allah has revealed, they say: Nay! we follow what we found our fathers upon. What! and though their fathers had no sense at all, nor did they follow the right way.”
Al-Baqarah 2:170

جب ان سے کہاجاتا ہے کہ جو کچھ خدا نے نازل کیا ہے اس کا اتباع کرو تو کہتے ہیں کہ ہم اس کا اتباع کریں گے جس پر ہم نے اپنے باپ دادا کوپایا ہے. کیا یہ ایسا ہی کریں گے چاہے ان کے باپ دادا بے عقل ہی رہے ہوں اورہدایت یافتہ نہ رہے ہوں
